I so enjoyed creating this picture of feminine strength and non conformity.
On watercolour paper I painted and sprayed both water colour and acrylic paints. I used stencils to enhance the details and then on top of this I applied die cut butterflies, a pre printed cut out paper doll, tiny cabochons, glitter and glitz!
 
Conforming is so boring isn't it?
 
Being expected to think like everyone else.
Wearing clothes that don't get you noticed.
Blending in.
Being hidden in the crowd.
Head down and feeling unseen.
 
So, rebel! Open up your soul!
Be you and wear the wings of non conformity!

I wanted to conform but I didn't like the uniform.
So don't wear it ....
Be the person you know you are meant to be.
 
The picture is unframed.  As you can see, there's a small butterfly outside of the edge of the card.  I do like to extend parameters if I can ;)
 
It measures 8 1/2" x 6 1/4"
